Murderthon Classes & Masks

Roster overview for Survivor Classes and Killer Masks in the Murderthon alpha.

Players Hub

Murderthon splits every match into two roles. Classes are the four Survivors who repair generators, break chases, and escape through gates—or the hatch if they are last alive. Masks are the single Killer who downs, carries, and executes Survivors on electric chairs. This Players Hub orients you to both rosters, how unlocks work, and which child pages hold full kit details.

If you only want letter grades, jump to the Tier List Hub. If you still need match rules, open Getting Started first.

Classes (Survivors)

Classes share the same win condition—complete five of seven generators, open an exit gate, leave—but their kits change how you contribute:

  • Medic — heals with a medkit so injured teammates can take another hit.
  • Handyman — supports the limited pallet economy during loops.
  • Saboteur — sabotages chairs to create rescue openings.
  • Recon — pings the Mask for information plays.
  • Enforcer — blinds the Mask to break chase momentum.
  • Mechanic — repairs generators faster for objective snowballs.
  • Cloaker — uses invisibility for rescues, steals, or hatch pathing.

Some Classes are locked behind missions. Do not assume the entire roster is free on a fresh account. Progress quests, redeem codes for Shards when needed, and unlock kits that fix your team’s weakest job (heals, info, or gen speed).

Full ability notes, strengths, and counters live on the Classes page. Rankings live on the Class tier list.

Masks (Killers)

Masks hunt with a two-hit down pattern, then carry Survivors to electric chairs for the execution. Kits change how you find, slow, or isolate targets:

  • Fate — trap-focused pressure (free).
  • Ripe — madness / hallucination pressure; free beginner Mask.
  • Sin — rush tools for aggressive downs.
  • Pierce — teleport onto generator pressure.
  • Sheol — ranged options.
  • Jammed — cuff control.
  • Divide — vent denial against Survivor escape paths.
  • Lens — cameras and teleport information.
  • Plague — upcoming; details will expand when it ships.

Free Masks (Ripe, Fate) are the correct first purchases of time. Other Masks commonly cost around 5,000 Shards. Learn one free kit deeply before spreading currency thin.

See Masks for kit deep-dives and the Mask tier list for meta grades. Killer macro advice sits in the Killer Guide.

How to pick a main

  1. Decide what frustrates you. Dying without info → Recon. Losing chases → Enforcer / Handyman / Cloaker. Slow gens → Mechanic. Dropping teammates → Medic / Saboteur.
  2. On Killer, pick a teaching kit. Ripe and Fate teach reading survivors under pressure and zone control without needing perfect mechanical flashes.
  3. Respect map traits. Vent-heavy layouts empower Divide denial and Cloaker pathing; open Frost / park sightlines empower ranged and info Masks.
  4. Re-evaluate after patches. Alpha notes on the Updates Hub can reshuffle chair timing or ability feel overnight.
  5. Practice controls until they are boring. The Controls page and Tools loadout checklist remove menu fumble from your learning curve.

Synergy beats solo heroics

A Mechanic slamming gens while nobody watches the Mask still feeds Sin free downs. A Recon ping that nobody respects wastes the kit. Talk with the communication wheel, call chair states, and rotate before five gens finish so the gate phase is not a 1v1 against full Killer pressure. On Mask side, tunnel vision on one Survivor while three finish generators is how pub games slip away—even with a strong tier pick.
